Hello crafty friends!!
Today I want to show you one of my favorite techniques: the double resist effect.
You’ll see it’s super easy to do and it’s going to make your backgrounds unique and beautiful.
Step 1
Use embossing ink to stamp on the background of your paper and sprinkle Lindy’s detail embossing powder Wowzers White. Melt it with the heat tool and color the background with your favorite colors (I’ve used Seagrass green, Opal sea oats, Sweet violet purple teal). You will see that the white embossing powder can’t be colored.
Step 2
Apply Distress micro glaze from Ranger through a stencil using a sponge or a stencil brush, remove the stencil and spray your favorite Lindy’s Starburst Spray, making sure the color matches with the others! You will see that the stenciled areas can’t pick the color, while the others turn into a glorious shine.
With the background ready, it’s time to add your composition on top. I decided to keep it simple as the background was so beautiful that I didn’t want to cover it.
I have a video for you to see how easy is to do this technique. Enjoy!
