Hi and Welcome!
Martina here with a matching card set using the Alexandra’s Artists Magicals Set from Lindy’s.
I originally planned to create monochromatic cards but ended with a matching set since I have switched some of the pieces between the cards.
I started with stamping some Magicals onto my background.
This technique is super easy and fun – just take a tiny amount of the Magical Powder out of the jar and place it on a non-porous surface. Dilute it with water and you are ready to stamp with!
I have been using a Clear Stamp with some typo on it – that gives me some nice scribbled parts between the splashes.
To use all the colors I mixed, I have painted the leftovers onto another piece of cardstock.
Using another typo-Clear Stamp, I have added some heat embossing with super Fine Embossing Powder to the cardstock.
This cardstock gives a super fun piece of “custom made pattered” paper to cut some embellishments from.
I decided to cover my die-cut words with some Chunky Embossing powders, this will add some super special color and texture to them.
As always when I am working with the Chunky Embossing Powders, I am using my Craft Tool, which allows all these tiny bits and flakes to stay in place.
To finish my cards, I had to change the plans I had when I started them. I originally planned a set of monochromatic cards but loved the blues on the yellow background and vice versa.
Such a great thing that these sets match so well that everything is coordinating!
And here they are, the finished cards and their matching envelopes.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
Here are some close-ups of the Die Cuts with the gorgeous Chunky Embossing Powders.
Have a wonderful day!
