Quick Card Background using Embossing Powders with Aga Baraniak

Hi All Lindy’s fans. Today we’ve pulled a post from the vault to inspire you all.

This beautiful card was created by Ambassador Aga Baraniak and this is a fabulous and classy idea for a card.

Generally, I don’t make many cards but I want to show you a simple and fast way to make this beautiful background with embossing powders and gesso.

Did you know, you can add embossing powders on all kinds of structural paste, gesso, or even watercolor paint which has not dried completely and is sticky enough to glue powders.  Well, you can ant that’s how I’m creating the beautiful background for this card.

Add gesso through a stencil and sprinkle several different Lindy’s embossing powders over the wet gesso, I used: Candy Cane RedCuckoo Clock Cardinal EPPurley White. Set the embossing powder with a heat tool.

The flowers were prepared before, I used a mixture of mists and watercolors to paint them. They are made on high-density paper.

To keep your card simple and elegant, add an uncolored chipboard wreath and watercolored flowers over the dry background and then splatter with Lindy’s sprays in Frozen Jack Frost and Sidewalk Chalk.

You can see step by step how to create this for yourself in this process video.
