Hello Everyone!
Christmas is just a few days away, so I’m doing a home decor project. The shops are already displaying Christmas stuff in mid-October, which tends to take my mood away from the festive season, but I’m getting the mood back with this artwork.
I used an MDF sled as a base, which is two-layered, so for the bottom, I chose paper from AB Studio’s Secret wood collection. I stenciled with Light paste, on which I sprinkled Groovy Granite Chunky embossing powder.
On the mold elements, I sprayed Black Orchid Silver, Frozen Jack Frost and Sandra Dee Sepia mist, and I also added a little bit of a magical shaker – in Stormy Silver shade.
I applied Graphite Texture Paste to the edges of the sled, followed by White Crackle Paste.
I also used magical powders on the edges of the sleigh and the paper, mainly in brownish grey shades for the outside – Dark Chocolate Truffle, Gag Me with a Spoon Gray and Midnight Rendezvous, while on the inside I used pink for the grey shades on the paper, and Salt Water Taffy for the paper.
I highlighted the chipboards with Wowzers White embossing powder.
I used cut-outs from AB studio’s Christmas breeze collection, Dusty Attic and AB chipboards, Mitform Casting gear and Tim Holtz signs.
After putting it together, I added wax, grainy ornaments and stamping. Finally, white acrylic paint was applied and sprayed.
