Watercoloring with Nantucket Pearls Magicals by Natasha

Hello Crafty friends!  It is Natasha here and I am excited to be back up on the Lindy’s blog today!  Today I am sharing ways to use your Magicals for watercoloring stamped/foiled images!  I had a lot of fun creating today’s card!  So let’s get started!

I started with a floral image for my card today.  I foiled the image onto watercolor card stock.  I then chose the Nantucket Pearls Magicals set to watercolor my image.  I specifically chose 3 colors for the image: Salt Water Taffy, Cape Cod Coral, and Sea Grass Green.  When watercoloring I color in layers, I did the same with the Magicals.  I placed a small amount of each color onto my paint palette and prepped each color with a little water.  I then started to watercolor my floral image.  I completed 1 layer of color at a time and allowed the layer to dry before adding a 2nd layer of color.

For each floral and leaf image, I did several layers of color using only the 3 colors I shared above.  You can achieve such beautiful results with these colors and shading too!  Once the image was watercolored, I die cut the image and then set it aside to work on the card background.  For my background, I used a pre-made gelli print I had in my stash.  I then ran the background through my die-cutting machine with an embossing folder.  Next, I distressed the edges and applied ink to the edges, plus various sections of the panel to add more distressing.

To complete my card I layered the gelli print panel on top of a kraft panel and adhered it to an A2 card base.  I added a bit of twine for added texture and then foam mounted my floral image and added a sentiment to complete my card!  I had a lot of fun creating today’s card and I can’t wait to watercolor again with Lindy’s Magicals!!!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Natasha
