River on the canvas by Marietta Tégi

Hello Everyone!

Today unlike usual for me, I didn’t create a layered piece, but focused on textures.

On the canvas I glued 2mm thick cardboard sheets in 2 layers. I covered the whole thing with white gesso. Then I sprinkled tiny gravel-like particles on it, as if I were looking at the banks and bed of a river. I applied graphite and white crackle paste everywhere except the riverbed.

On the texture paste part I used Sandra Dee Sepia, Bayou Boogie Gold and Ponderosa Pines Olive magicals.

I poured glass resin into the river and mixed Tibetan Poppy Teal, Delphinium Turquoise, Just Be Kind Cobalt and Commit To It Teal magical powders.
It took 24 hours to dry completely.

You can find the tutorial here:

Have a nice day! xoxo
