Hi Lindy’s Gang – France with you on the blog today and I have created a special project to share with you all. Over the years I’ve acquired a fair LIndy’s collection, but my go-to colors are the blues, Carribean Blue, Tiffany Lou sprays and Gutten tag teal embossing powder.
The inspiration for this started with the quote “Have Hope, Be Strong’. A best friend’s daughter is battling Osteosarcoma, she has gone through rounds of chemo and now is dealing with the surgery to remove the tumor. I made this canvas as a gift to her because she still has a long way to go on her battle and I hope that this canvas can bring her some sense of hope, joy and show we love and support her through this journey.
To create the background I used a stencil with light molding paste to create the texture. Then I added a layer of color using Aloha Avocado magical powder and water.
Then using a paint brush I layered coats of Shabby turbine teal and Time travel teal.
I heat embossed the chipboard elements and built layers by adding straw under the circle chipboard for dimension.
Once the layering of the arrangements was done, I add touches and splatters of diluted gesso for the finishing touch.
Lindy’s Products:
- Embossing powder: Ceasar’s gold & Fiddlehead Fern Green
- Spray: Time Travel Teal & Shabby turbine teal
