Hey there Gang!
Who doesn’t love a tag! I know I do – great to attach to gifts, to cheer up someone’s day or to add to the front of a card!
Today I am showing you a few simple steps to create this tag using Lindys gorgeous Embossing Powders.
I started with a pile of yummy Imaginarium Chipboard…
Covered the chipboard tag in some patterned paper then gave it a light coat of Clear Gesso to seal the paper.
Next I added a few sprinkles of Frozen Jack Frost and spread it around with a wet brush – just to add a little white to the background.
Next, I stamped some reeds using Spring Leaf Chartreuse and heat set it.
I then stamped another leaf image over the top and used Purely White EP and heat set it.
To emboss the chipboard heart, I first used Lederhosen Laurel and heat set it but I found the colour was a little too much for what I had in mind … so I then added Angel Wings Gold over the top to tone it down a little. Perfection!
For the flourishes, I triple embossed them both in different colours …. I used Spring Leaf Chartreuse and Hyacinth Blue Jade for the other one … The way I like to do this is to ink with clear embossing ink, dip in the EP, reink and redip!
I used a stapler to adhere all my elements to the tag – quick, easy & the staples will be covered with flowers!
For the flowers, gave them a quick mist with Cactus Gold Glitz Spray to give them some consistency then used gel medium to stick them down.
So it’s surprisingly easy, kinda fun and I’m sure you will really enjoy creating a tag just like this!
I will leave you with a few close-up images so you can check out all the juicy details!
