Postcard with watercolor background in eight steps

Hello! It’s Oleksandr Azarov with you on the Lindy’s Blog and I am very glad to meet you. Today I will show you how to create a card with an interesting watercolor background.

For this we need watercolor paper, stamps, a stencil, powder for embossing and of course Magicals and sprays. For today’s work, I took a set Mermaid Seashells Shimmer Magicals. This is one of my favorite sets)

Step one. On the basis of the future postcard, I stamp it using gold powder for embossing Gimme Five Gold Detail EP, a repeating image of lotus boxes and one lotus flower in the center. On a separate sheet of paper, I stamp an image of a lotus flower and a bud, which we will later paint and cut out.

Step two. I pre-moisten the base of the postcard with clean water and use a brush in a chaotic manner to add magicals (I use: Cocklebells Coral,Opal Sea Oats,Sea Mint Green) I add water so that the colors mix well. Drying with a hairdryer.

Step three. After I have dried the base I add a spray using a spray Sea Mint Green Shimmer Spray. Drying with a hairdryer.

Step four. Using a stencil circle I apply a spray Creme Brulee Cream Shimmer Spray. After the base has dried, I added a few more small sprays using the same spray.

Step number five. Let’s move on to painting the lotus. For coloring, I used all the same, my favorite set Mermaid Seashells Shimmer Magicals, colors: Cocklebells Coral, Glory of the Seas Gold for flowers and Sea Mint Green for the stems. Dry.

Step six. I cut out the image of lotus flowers and cut out the stems.

Step seven. Now that all the components are ready, we just have to put together the postcard. We glue the background to the base of the postcard. I stick lotus flowers using volumetric tape.

Step eight, final. It remains for us to add only the appropriate inscription, I use the ready-made one. And now our postcard is ready!
