Mixed Media Canvas by Marietta Tégi

Hello Lindy’s Funs!

Todays mixed media creation is a bit romantic-steampunk style, but I think it’s harmonious.

I used a 10x33cm canvas as a basis for this work, on which I first stencilled, mixed Midnight Rendezvous and Bodacious Blush magical powders from the Totally 80′ collection into a light paste. Then I applied Graphite texture paste and covered the surface with white gesso. The crackle paste was indispensable for this work as well. I spread Polite People Purple Squirts over the length and then added Silent Night Silver. I love how the colors show up both separately and blended. You can notice a slightly lighter shade on the crackle paste surface.

I sprayed the mould elements with Buccaneer Bay Blue Moon Shadow mist, followed by Silent Night Silver, Creme Brulee Cream and Toadstool Taupe Starburst mist.
I colored the mould key elements with Bombshell Black mist and Polite People Purple Squirts. I chose Dusty Attic clock, arrow and gear chipboards and sprinkled Slam Dunk Silver embossing powder on them.

I planned to use Art Melange to add character and emphasis to the gears, first with Silver Moon Sapphire and then Cool Man Cooper embossing powder.

I applied white gesso to the Finnabair metal elements with a soft dry brush. I sprinkled Bodacious Blush magical powder on the flowers and added extra color with Polite People Purple Squirts. I used Silent Night Silver and Bombshell Black on the gears. While on the butterflies I sprayed Frozen Jack Frost and Gag Me With A Spoon Gray mist.

Finally, I used graphite, old white, white pearl and french levander waxes. I topped it with a few decorative elements and stamping.
