Best Day Layout with Natalie May

Hi there from sunny South Australia!   We have just started what we call ‘Mad March’ here in Adelaide where there are music festivals, comedy festivals, car racing and all sorts of awesome events going on. The weather is fabulous, the sun is out everyday & I have been embracing the festival mood in a big way … And getting creative at the same time!

Today I am sharing a page featuring my 13 year old daughter Jessica … she has just started High School and is turning into a cool little human!  I wanted to create  a page that shows her bright and bubbly personality, captured beautifully in this photo taken by my wonderful friend Amanda Baldwin.

The March color challenge set was the perfect combination for this page.

BASIC TECHNIQUE

The steps are super simple and I have created a video of the process which you can find at the bottom of this post or on the Lindy’s You Tube Channel.  Start with a few background stamps in black archival ink then using a brush, add Cosmopolitan Pink.

Add Cape Cod Coral and Kissin’ Kenickie Coral and drying between layers.

Give it a light spray with Clam Bake Beige.

Take a length of string & shove it right into the bottle of Merci Beaucoup Mint … pull it out and allow to dry.

Finish with some splatters of Blazin Black and Merci Beaucoup Mint.

It’s that simple!

Here are a few close ups of my project.
