Hi dear Lindy’s gang fans and friends. It’s my turn on the blog again. I was brainstorming what to prepare for you as my monthly inspiration and I just wanted to play with the gorgeous combination of soft blue and soft purple Lindy’s products. I ran across this amazing photo of Lavender Garden that I fell in love with! I love Lavender, so this was a perfect fit! I altered a small wooden house and made a Lavender Garden entrance out of it! Hope you’ll like it!
BASIC PROCESS
I first covered the wooden house with two coats of white gesso and a coat of crackle texture paste. Then added some texture paste through a stencil to form some more interesting texture on some parts of the surface. I colored the middle part with Tea Pot Purple Spray, applying it with a brush. I added a photo and chipboard gates that I cut in half to get two halves, one for each side.
Then I embossed the chipboard Grape vines with gorgeous Orbit Olive Gold embossing powder and arranged them around the photo and the gates. I added some blue and some purple colors to the house so it looks like it “flows” from the photo and surrounding arrangement.
I then added some flowers which I colored with purple, added some small blue and white ones and dry-brushed them all with white gesso to blend.
I added quotes to finish off the project.
Lindy’s products:
- Sprays: Tea Pot Purple Starburst Spray, and Azure Sea Asters Starburst Spray
- Embossing Powder: Orbit Olive Gold embossing powder.
