Card Making with Lindy’s Enchanted Forest Sprays and Powders

Hello crafty friends! It is Design Team member Natasha here and I am excited to be up on the Lindy’s Gang blog today!  Today I am going to share a fun way to use your Enchanted Forest Magicals, sprays, and embossing folders to create quick and beautiful cards!

So let’s get started!

I started with a piece of Canson Mixed Media paper.  I taped my paper down onto a hard board to prevent warping.  Next I started to work with the Enchanted Forest Magicals set.  I placed some water on top of my mixed media paper and then carefully added the following colors: Gnome Berry Bordeau, Sparkling Sunset, and Dragonfly Denim.  I worked with one color at a time, adding a bit of magical powders and letting the powders do their work with the water.  I allowed this layer to dry. Once the panel was dry, I added a bit of Glitz Magicals in the color Gleaming Gold.  The shine on this color is truly amazing!

Once this layer was complete, I wanted to add a bit more texture and dimension to my panel.  I chose an embossing folder from my stash and carefully ran the panel through my die cutting machine with the folder.  I love the added dimension the dry embossing gives to the Magicals.  To create a bit more texture and dimension I added some Starburst Sprays, using colors from the Enchanted Forest collection.  I carefully added Sparkling Sunset, Dragonfly Denim, and Gnome Berry Bordeau.  I also added Moon Shadow Mist to the panel in the color Silhouette Silver.

I sprayed colors in various sections to add more dimension and interest. Once the panel was dry I went over the top of some areas of the raised sections on the dry embossed background with a distress crayon.  I applied the crayon and then rubbed it onto sections with my fingers.  Then I added some splatters using Sidewalk Chalk/Flat Fabio Spray.  Next I trimmed the panel slightly smaller than an A2 card base and then adhered this to my card panel using liquid adhesive.

Next I die cut a flower from mixed media paper.  I die cut the floral image 3 times and then adhered this together using liquid glue.  I then sprayed Cactus Gold Glitz Spritz onto my floral die cut.  Once it was dry, I adhered the flower to my card front using both liquid glue and foam tape.  To complete my card, I stamped 3 sentiments onto white card stock, trimmed them down into sentiment strips and adhered this to my card front using foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I love using Magicals and Shimmer Sprays, they create so much color and sparkle and the results are truly beautiful!  I hope today’s card inspires you to try your Lindy’s Gang products with your embossing folders!  I am sharing links to all the Lindy’s Gang supplies I used below!
