Magical Watercolor Cards

Hi there … Natalie here today.  I love making cards as much as I do creating layouts and art journal pages … and I love to use the same techniques as I do with layouts!

Creating an inky arty card front is super easy using Magicals and this month I created two sets – one using 4 colors from the April release… Mango Mania, Cheshire Cat Cherry, Cotton Candy Pink & Frenchy’s Pink Pouf and one set just using Sweet Violet Purple Teal.

I have used 300gsm watercolor paper for the base to add the Magicals to and then used Bazzill cardstock for the rest of the cards!

Here are a few simple steps….

Spray your paper with water then use a dry brush to sprinkle on the Magicals.

Add some more water to spread the pigment out and let it run around your paper.

Try with a few different colours.

You get some great results by adding more layers.

The more water you add the more intense the wash.

Allow it to air dry for the best results.

For the custom colored seam binding, mix the Magicals in with a little water in a cup.

Drop the white ribbon straight into the cup and swish around – dry with a heat tool.

Layer some die cuts on top of the watercolour wash paper & you’re all done!

They look seriously awesome once dry!

These cards look amazing in almost any color combination!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day

Natalie
